Dry Sauna
Construction and finishing details

The height of the finished room must not exceed 2.20m, to avoid excessive consumption of firewood.

The ceiling and walls must be lined with wood, using styrofoam or glass wool for the insulation, for this, beams must be placed on the walls, in the horizontal direction, so that the wooden covering is fixed on them.

The benches must be made of masonry, with the last step being 1 meter from the ceiling. On the masonry is placed a coating that can be ceramic flooring, stones or the smooth cement itself.

Removable wooden platforms must be made to be placed on the benches, so that when the wood is already being damaged it can be replaced without jeopardizing the use of the Sauna.

The sauna oven should be installed, whenever possible, in a corner of the room, away from the door and the passage of people.

A space must be reserved on the wall, without wood covering, for the installation of the oven; this space includes the dimensions of the oven plus + - 25cm for each side of it; in this space the wall should be covered with a trailer, ceramic floor or stone.

For the passage of the chimney, a 40x40cm square should be cut in the ceiling, with the same centered in the hole; the finish must be done with galvanized sheet or stainless steel and screwed to the ceiling, to avoid direct contact between the hot chimney and the wooden lining.
